Learn to sail
in a fun, safe environment.
WINTER UPDATE: The annual Muskegon Junior Sailing Association Fundraising Auction will take place March 29, 2014 at Dockers Restaurant. This annual event raises funds to support youth sailing programs in the Muskegon and lakeshore area. Please tell your friends and plan to attend! More details will be posted here as the date approaches.
The MYC Sailing School on Muskegon Lake offers children ages 6 and older as well as adults the opportunity to learn to sail through a variety of sailing classes and lessons designed for both beginner and experienced sailors.
Students at all levels will experience the thrill of sailing through a combination of classroom instruction, games, activities, and on-the-water experiences designed to develop personal independence and responsibility, sailing knowledge, boat handling and safety skills.
Sailing classes for the summer of 2014 will be offered during 8 one-week youth sessions, a one-week Adventure Camp, as well as adult sessions meeting once per week during a choice of two 4 week sessions.
Classes are led by US Sailing Certified Instructors who are experienced sailors and also certified in CPR.
Instructor-to-student ratios are kept small to maximize each student’s experience, so class size is limited.

Be sure to check out our discounts for enrolling your child in multiple sessions!
Reminder: all students need to wear a swim suit and bring a life jacket to class. We also encourage you to send a bottle of water with your child.
