Learn to sail
in a fun, safe environment.
The MYC Sailing School on Muskegon Lake offers children ages 6 and older as well as adults the opportunity to learn to sail through a variety of sailing classes and lessons designed for both beginner and experienced sailors.
Students at all levels will experience the thrill of sailing through a combination of classroom instruction, games, activities, and on-the-water experiences designed to develop personal independence and responsibility, sailing knowledge, boat handling and safety skills.
Sailing classes for the summer of 2015 will be offered during 9 one-week daytime youth sessions as well as an evening class designed for adults, teens and families that meets one evening per week during a choice of two 4 week sessions.
Are you an adult who simply wants to try sailing? Are you and your friends looking for a fun alternative to “book club” or “girls night out”? Would you like to learn to sail with one of your children? Are you a teenager who has a job or sports practices during the day? Our evening class is the perfect opportunity for you to get out on the water!
Classes are led by US Sailing Certified Instructors who are experienced sailors and also certified in CPR.
Instructor-to-student ratios are kept small to maximize each student’s experience, so class size is limited.
